Let's build it and grow it strong…

Resurrected Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene. (John 20:17)

Yesterday–and every day–we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection! As we know, the Roman empire attempted to kill him and his message of justice and liberation, but God raised him up and he lived not died. And Jesus’ message will not be killed either! Pray and work!! Pray and organize!! ❤️💜

This drawing shows Jesus celebrating the Passover meal with his friends and disciples. As Jews around the world celebrate Passover (which began last night), I too want to commemorate and celebrate how God delivered God’s people out of slavery/bondage in Egypt thousands of years ago. And how later, after Jesus was put to death, God raised him up and his teachings about God’s kingdom of justice, peace, and love for all. The good news is God hears our laments and moves through history and today, working with us to free us and liberate us from oppression, injustice, war, and racism.

Jesus was crucified for his message about living the way of God’s kingdom. But God did not let him or the message die. Jesus and his teachings and movement were lifted up and still live today, and will continue to rise and resonate forever…

Jesus told people in no uncertain terms when they weren’t following the way of God’s kingdom. In the temple in Jerusalem he made it very clear: God’s house should be a house of prayer, he said–in both word and deed! Lord, please give me courage to tell people, as you did.

God wants no part of a den of robbers! We don’t serve God with greed or by hoarding riches. Lord, I pray you keep our eyes on you and show us how to use your wealth of gifts and resources for all the community, and especially for people in need. Peace and blessings to all in this holy week. ❤️💜

Many people came to be healed, and he healed them all. Today we all need healing too, and he can show us God’s kingdom and heal us all. ❤️💜

Here’s a new pic of my character Magdalena. She’s missing her father and SO VERY SAD. What can raise her spirit and heal this wound? Jesus tells us, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:3)

So many people in need of healing, so many communities, so many nations… Jesus told us, “God’s kingdom is near.” If we truly live into it, won’t we all be healed? ❤️💜

Jesus taught us to love all people and welcome them! How can I do as he says? ❤️💜

Jesus told us to love and help people in need. How can I do better at doing what he said? ❤️💜
