Holy Day for Mothers! To Mothers, the first teachers, who know well: “Teach children to fish, and they will be fed for the rest of their lives.” And to mothers supporting mothers: Learn from the holy mothers: Mary and Elizabeth. Happy Mother’s Day to all!
In the wilderness, it can feel lonely, desperate, scary, awful, discouraging, humble; full of sadness and longing and so much else I’d prefer to avoid … But, as in everything, I need to follow, follow Jesus and stay, not wavering, on the path he took in faith. Keep eyes on God, ears and hands open. God is my light in the darkness, my strength in weakness. Listen for God’s voice. His word is life!! God has brought me to this place to be in his presence; God has brought me to myself and to God’s own self. God’s steadfast love shines, rules even here. Peace and blessings to you wherever you find yourself!! ❤️ 💜
When Jesus was baptized and came up out of the water, a voice from the heavens was heard: “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:17) And Hallelujah, we are God’s beloveds too!! Have a blessed day, dearly beloveds! ❤️ 💜
Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you? Therefore, do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’… But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and justice, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:28-33)
Jesus bridges all gaps, extends our paths, and takes us across troubled, raging waters with him. He connects us and reconciles us with each other, with him, and with God. Hallelujah!! Build bridges like the Light of the World Bridge in God’s Kingdom! ❤️ 💜
How can we change the world we live in to bring it in line with God’s design? These guys have some good ideas: Uplift the poor! Show care and be caring! Organize! And then, don’t forget: Repent of our own bad habits and actions! Change ourselves to lead the way!! ❤️ 💜
When you prepare to do God’s work, listen for God’s summons and try to resist all temptations and distractions, just as Jesus did. Likely angels will refresh and renew you, help and assist you, as they did with him. Wishing you the best in everything you do as you prepare for and embody the purpose you’ve been given. ❤️ 💜
