In God’s Wilderness

In the wilderness, it can feel lonely, desperate, scary, awful, discouraging, humble; full of sadness and longing and so much else I’d prefer to avoid … But, as in everything, I need to follow, follow Jesus and stay, not wavering, on the path he took in faith. Keep eyes on God, ears and hands open. God is my light in the darkness, my strength in weakness. Listen for God’s voice. His word is life!! God has brought me to this place to be in his presence; God has brought me to myself and to God’s own self. God’s steadfast love shines, rules even here. Peace and blessings to you wherever you find yourself!! ❤️ 💜

Seek First the Kingdom of God

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you? Therefore, do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’… But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and justice, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matthew 6:28-33)
