Community of Love

Jesus brings a community of love to every life, to every person he touches.

And more on God’s Community of Love/Beloved Community from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. … “As early as 1956, Dr. King spoke of The Beloved Community as the end goal of nonviolent boycotts. As he said in a speech at a victory rally following the announcement of a favorable U.S. Supreme Court Decision desegregating the seats on Montgomery’s busses, ‘the end is reconciliation; the end is redemption; the end is the creation of the Beloved Community. It is this type of spirit and this type of love that can transform opponents into friends. It is this type of understanding goodwill that will transform the deep gloom of the old age into the exuberant gladness of the new age. It is this love which will bring about miracles in the hearts of men.'” —The King Center Β (thekingcenter.org)

Believe in Miracles

Believing in Jesus and following Him means knowing miracles can happen. He brings people back from death and bondage; He finds those who are lost or have given up and restores them to whole life. He is a Rescuer and a Reconciler; He is a Savior for all who embrace His Way. He invites all of us–everyone–to walk with Him. I’m with you, Lord! Let’s go!! ❀️ πŸ’œ

Beloved X Beloved

In this painting I try to capture some of the ways God loves us and how we can show God and other people the love we have for Him. Every day I thank God for being our God and loving us so much. I also tell God how much I love Him. In this deep interconnection we have, I see clearly how ALL are beloved. We are truly lovers of God, beloved of God. And I am continually aware of and so very grateful for the fact that God loves me and all of us, without any limit or restraint. HALLELUJAH!! Peace and blessings, everybody!! ❀️ πŸ’œ

Community Feast

This acrylic and fabric collage painting evolved over a number of years. Several different group painting sessions added fabrics and painted clothes to my original drawing/design on the canvas. “Community Feast” embodies the artwork’s theme that it takes a sharing community to celebrate and live into God’s great banquet dinner. Peace and blessings to everybody!! β€οΈπŸ’œ

Proclaim the Good News to All People!

I recently rediscovered photos of these banners I made more than a dozen years ago. Happily, I feel like they still capture the joy and excitement of knowing a savior was born and lives every day for us and our world. And they still depict my burning yearning to go and tell the whole world the good news of his living today and always for those who know and love him. Peace and blessings to everybody!!! ❀️ πŸ’œ

Let the Dawn from on High Break upon Us

This collage / painting reflects my hope for our country and our world in these troubled times. It illustrates the scripture in Luke 1:78-80: Because of the tender mercy of our God, the dawn from on high will break upon us, to shine on those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. And the children grew and became strong in spirit… ❀️ πŸ’œ
