Let's build it and grow it strong…

Let’s really follow Jesus’s Way. It’s a path of love, justice, caring, and peace ❤️💜

Jesus is the LIFE of the world! In this illustration, I was trying to show the Word as baby Jesus and as the grown Son of Man, and I have a woman, representing all of us, who receives light, life, inspiration, hope, joy, and a new way of life from this Word, from the Lord Jesus.
This illustration and idea come from John 1:1- 5. I love this scripture so much, so here is my “translation”/interpretation of it: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was Jesus, and Jesus (the Word) was with God and was God. He was in the beginning and… All things came into being through Jesus… What has come into being in him was and is life; and Jesus and his life is everlasting life. That brand new way of life was and is the light of all people! It’s a hope, an inspiration, and a real LIFE for everyone! Jesus, his light, and the everlasting life he gives us shines in the darkness, and the dark does not and cannot overcome it. ❤️ 💜

Tell God’s truth with the stories you share, and they will be holy good news for the world!! ❤️ 💜

The angel said to Mary, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God. And now, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren. For nothing will be impossible with God.” Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.”
And Mary understood what God was asking of her and said,
“My soul magnifies the Lord,
and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on the lowly state of his servant.
Surely from now on all generations will call me blessed,
for the Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name;
indeed, his mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He has brought down the powerful from their thrones
and lifted up the lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things
and sent the rich away empty.”
(Luke 1:35-38, 46-53)

We’re all members of the family of God. When we have trouble communicating, sharing, caring, or connecting with one another; when we struggle to love and embrace the whole family, the Holy Spirit is available to help. Ask the Spirit to fill you and guide you. With Spirit directing the flow of our lives, we can truly love one another as Jesus taught us and serve the God we love and who loves us ALL deeply–every single one!! ❤️ 💜

Tell people your story of walking with Jesus. How has being in relationship with him transformed your life and created you anew? This is how we embrace God’s Kingdom and build up a new righteous world of justice and love. By sharing with and truly caring about others, we love one another, as our beloved God demonstrates every day and commands us to do. ❤️ 💜

As we grow and transform throughout our lives, from baby to child to mature adult to elder, may we grow in wisdom, love, and compassion, considering and contemplating these words from the apostle Paul: “Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God—what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2)

Come, let’s sing out loud to the Lord!
Let’s raise a joyful shout to the rock of our salvation!
Let’s come before him with thanks!
Let’s shout songs of joy to him!
The Lord is a great God,
the great king over all other gods.
The earth’s depths are in his hands;
the mountain heights belong to him;
the sea, which he made, is his
along with the dry ground,
which his own hands formed.
Come, let’s worship…
He is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture,
the sheep in his hands.
If only we would listen to his voice right now!
(Psalm 95:1-7)

Thank you, God, and my beloved spiritual community, Emory Fellowship!! Today I feel so connected to God, to my Lord/King/Savior Jesus and to my blessed kingdom community. Though I’ve believed in God and loved Jesus almost all my life, recently, since returning to Emory early this year, I am seeking God’s will every day and really listening to Him, in a way that’s more focused, inspired, and obedient than ever before. I am hearing new details from God nearly every day about missions and purposes He has for me and my life. These directions are very clear and specific about how I’m to follow Jesus, encourage other people, and proclaim His love and His justice way in our holy community and throughout my neighborhood and the world.
I am SO, SO GRATEFUL, Lord!! I’m so glad you’re in my life!! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! I’m so glad I’m in YOUR life!! I feel like today I’m truly a child of God, living in, belonging to, and trying to grow/build up your awesome, beautiful family/kingdom and beloved community of believers.

Give thanks to God for life, love, light, and hope!! Give thanks to the Lord for EVERYTHING!! Praise God today and every day!! ❤️ 💜
