These collages are meditations on Jesus as the light of the world. Especially as he’s described in the beginning of the gospel of John: “What came into being in him was life, and the life was the light of all people.” (John 1:3-4)
I’m not sure if these pieces are finished or not. I kind of like the areas that are black and white; seems like maybe they portray something about the “coming into being” in John’s story–how everything came into being in the beginning and how we are always coming into being as we grow and transform and live more in the light.
