Believe in Jesus & God’s Kingdom

We have the expression “a doubting Thomas,” and many of us (me included) sometimes feel like Thomas did: “Unless I see … I will not believe.” So in this piece, I tried to depict the encounter in the locked room when Jesus and Thomas and other followers meet again. The Gospel of John tells us, although the doors were shut, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here and see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it in my side. Do not doubt but believe.” Very moved and convinced, Thomas answered: “My Lord and my God! And Jesus responded, “Do you believe because you see me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.” (John 20:26-29)

Yes, I truly believe those who believe without seeing are blessed in God’s kingdom!! But so are those who come to believe after doubting or after having any kind of experience of Jesus or God’s Kingdom (perhaps without visuals or anything measurable or tangible). I see all the time that people who love Jesus and believe and participate in God’s kingdom are blessed beyond measure every day and for eternity!! Peace and blessings to you!! ❤️ 💜
