This quilt I made many years ago and still have on my bed today celebrates the song: “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine…”
The song reflects this word from scripture: “You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. People do not light a lamp and put it under the bushel basket; rather, they put it on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5: 14-16)
Let’s all let our own personal light shine, of gifts, talents, and energy from God!! And always remember also to lift up and proclaim the light that is Jesus’ message about God’s justice kingdom–so needed by our planet Earth today!! ❤️ 💜
