Lamentations

A couple pics of lamentations… Justice lamentations require crying out about the history of the “injustice, cruelty, brutality, and inhumanity of slavery in the United States… and the impact of the institution on living African-Americans.” It means exposing “other forms of discrimination in the public and private sectors against African slaves and their descendants” from 1619 to the present, “including redlining, educational funding discrepancies, and predatory financial practices.” (H.R. 40) Among many other abominations…

Lamentations are holy words, sorely needed, and must be HEARD!! Lamentations are always truth-telling. And after lamentations are not only made but heard, acknowledged, and apologized for, then we can go forward with the persons harmed and try to repair, redress, and make right the many, many grievous wrongs done to them and over the past 400 years. Lord God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, PLEASE give us strength, courage, and your guidance every day and every step of the way β€οΈπŸ’œ
